Pamplona to Obanos part 2.

In Zariquiequi Roz decided she would try a coke. She had read the night before that Tour de France riders drink a coke before they ride up a big hill. Did it work? I don't know but we got up the hill.
I stopped in this little church for a quick prayer. So lovely and quaint and peaceful.
Love this door.
Now we really  started climbing. We came across an Irish girl and her friends. Monica had done this walk previously and had brought some friends with her this time.  We asked about the climb and she said compared to the Pyrenees "this was a dawdle" and that "we would be grand". (In your best Irish accent!) Not sure what her idea of a dawdle was..
We made it to the top. Usually it is so windy, as you can attest by the windmills in the background, but we had a beautiful day.
Looking back to Pamplona on the right.
This is self explanatory.
Looking to where we are going.
The path down was difficult. Steep with lots of this material. It was extremely hard on the legs and knees.
One more town until Obanos. We were dragging our proverbial asses at this point.
At least it was flat.
Change of marker designs.
And the best part. Roz made dinner.
