Castildelgado to Belorado

Today was an easy day. Only 12.5 km. We arrived very early at our Albergue and it popped out of nowhere about 800 m before we were expecting it. It had been a misty morning. We had stopped to have second breakfast and talked off and on to two Dutch sisters we had met in Albergue Bideluze the night before. People always talk about forming a Camino family. Roz and I have met lots of people  talk to them for a time or even meet them several times but the reality is unless you walk the same pace and same stages you will continue to meet new people. And Roz and I are such outgoing people you know.

Albergue Bideluze. I had read many recommendations on Facebook to go to this Albergue. A husband and wife decided to open this converted farmhouse with a lovely back garden area. It was the nicest place we have stayed.  When we arrived they told us we would be in an up and down bunk. Roz and I try to avoid the upper bunks if possible. The fellow suggested we could go to the hotel around the corner but we said no we would deal with it. We must have looked pathetic because he said wait a minute and he conferred with his wife went upstairs and came back and said we could have lower bunks. They had opened another room for us and told the dutch sisters that they now both had lower bunks too. A win, win for us all. Dinner was delicious veggie soup and beef soup. Homemade and delicious.
They have put up many things to represent the Camino. Every room also had a name of a place on the Camino. I wish I had taken more photos.
It had threatened rain all night and we even heard thunder but no rain. We woke up to cloudy skies.
Even a little town like Castildelgado, population 70 has a beautiful church.
Some graffiti.
They stack their bales high. This isn't even the highest I have seen.
Shells among  the rocks.
Highway building. Very red sandy rock.
Fields.
I put this picture in as you never know what you get in a bathroom. Its a guess sometimes. Will there be toilet paper? Will there be soap? This is a big one. I am surprised after covid that most bathrooms don't have soap. Will there be a toilet seat? As you can see. No.

It had been a rainy, mist day and rain was forecast for 1 pm. We were there nice and early and missed all the rain. Sometimes our choices really work out for us.
We had pizza for lunch. Unfortunately, Roz had to kill hers first. Not really she just can't hold the pizza cutter any other way.
Camino puzzle.
Our dorm. Roz and I and a bunch of guys.
