Leon to Villar de Mazarife

Leon to Villar de Mazarife
Jarrod had landed at the airport in Leon on Sunday and it happened to be outside the city in La Virgen del Camino. He had walked into the city to meet us and told us that it was a horrible smelly walk so we decided to take the bus to La Virgen del Camino and then walk from there. We decided to take was is called a variant route. The one route went right along the side of road but was shorter. The variant went through the countryside but was longer.
Waiting at the bus statiin for our 10 km bus ride.
Basillica de la Virgen del Camino. A modern church built on ancient grounds.
The Virgin Mary surrounded by the twelve apostles. St James is 4th from the left. All are facing toward Santiago.
Cute little piligrim statue. Behind is Hobbiton.
Hobbiton is actually wine cellars. Each family or vinter had a different house.

Getting close to the 300km mark.
Starting to walk the last few days of the Meseta.
Not sure what this is. Jarrod suggested a fire tower.
They really wanted us to go to this bar.
Cool bell tower.
Heading out on to the Camino.
Just some cool things I saw.
