Porte Campana Mato to Boente

62.622 km
PONTECAMPANA TO BOENTE

More woodland paths.
I was having some serious problems with my right knee, IT band, hamstring and pelvis. Everything was super tight and after walking for a bit it would all seize up. I had sent a message to our good friend and chiropractor Stacey for help. At 2:30 in the morning was sitting in the toilet messenger chatting with Stacey. She gave me a bunch of things to do. So here I am trying to help stretch out my groin on a convenient stone bench. Attracted attention of other pilgrims for sure. It would help for bit then seize up. We were making progress forward but I had to stop a lot.
I love this little statue.
People are creative in their spaces.
Roz will tell you I have an obsession with taking pictures of horreos.
Lovely stone church.

Small crowd as we were getting closer to Melide. It is a hub of the Camino as the north Primitivo route joins up here.
Roman Bridge leading into Melide.
A lovely little church.
Medieval streets and buildings but not the same as we saw early on the Frances.
Another Estrella Galacia mural. This time around a beekeeper who loves bees and dedicated himself to teaching others about honey and bees and their connections to the land.

Galician cementerio.
Wayside cross.
Heraldic sign on the house. Not near as many in this part of Spain.
Templar style church.
Interesting place to put a horreo.
Oh man I tell you. If I could have whipped my tights off and soaked my legs in there I would have been in heaven.
Crossing a stone bridge. Roz doesn't like bridges. Even fat short ones.
49.897 km to go. Under 50.
Little cutie pink car.
Our albergue. I have got to say I was never so happy to see an albergue as this one.
Excellent place. And the sun is going down.

Beautiful. Another day and a bunch more km closer.
